Neil Heaybourne is Station Director at Fidra Energy, where he leads the development and operational readiness of the UK’s largest BESS platform at Thorpe Marsh, currently under construction. He was previously Head of Operations at Zenobē, where he led asset management and operational strategy across one of the UK’s largest storage portfolios.
He brings over 20 years of experience in energy operations and engineering across grid-scale flexibility and storage, including senior roles at Flexitricity, Velox Power, and Sembcorp Energy UK. With a track record in scaling operations, optimising performance, and driving innovation in asset management, Neil provides deep expertise in delivering and operating BESS at scale.
