Victor Yip is a power market expert who leads the Flexible Energy research in GB at Aurora Energy Research, specialising in battery investments and peaking thermal power, with a focus on market structure and policy. He provides advice and research to a range of investors, lenders, developers, and regulators.
Victor led the launch, calibration, and ongoing development of Aurora’s SaaS battery valuation product in GB, which considers specific asset configurations across different durations, asset sizes, and co-location setups.
He started his career as a climate risk consultant and holds degrees in Physics from the University of Warwick and in Energy Technologies from the University of Cambridge in Physics and Energy Technologies respectively.
